Join us for five days immersing ourselves in Provence. With its sprawling landscapes, charming villages and endless lavender fields, it's at the heart of quintessential French countryside charm. During the week we'll spend two days with a professional local shopper perusing Frances' most extensive antique market (after Paris' Les Puces!) where you'll find furniture, artwork, tapestry, silverware, glassware and more.
When we're not antiquing we'll visit local craftsman in their atelier as well as enjoy a day trip to the region's most incredible winery which doubles as an exquisite art gallery. This journey promises inspiration, relaxation and discovery at every turn.
We'll be based in the delightful, off-the-beaten-path town of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, located in the heart of the Provence region of France. This lovely village is home to the 3rd largest antique and secondhand market in all of Europe. With over 250 exhibitors selling antiques, decor and art we'll explore, shop and enjoy the provencial countryside. Beautiful L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is particularly known for its old waterwheels and is fondly called as the "Venice of Provence." Its charming cafes and restaurants line the banks of the river and are perfect for a pause after lots of shopping.
We'll stay in the heart of Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, in a four-star boutique hotel that offers both comfort and intimacy, reflecting refinement -- the epitome of 'French chic.'
Rooms are beautifully decorated in soft colours, silky carpets and furnished with antiques.
The hotel houses a gorgeous restaurant, with its own Michelin-rated chef.
Right in the heart of Isle-sur-la-sorgue, the hotel is within a stone's throw of the entire village.
Perfect for both design professionals and passionate amateurs, this trip is an immersion into French provincial charm. During the week we'll explore a vast array of vintage furniture, art and decor -- each piece telling its own story. After two full days of treasure hunting (with our professional guide!), we'll visit some local ateliers and meet the artisans at work and potentially have the chance to buy from them on the spot (or place orders).
We'll have two full days to shop the 250 antique stalls! And we'll have the chance to visit a chandelier maker as well as a few other truly unique artisans local to the area. With a professional shopper and French-speaking guide, you'll have all the buying and shipping assistance you need.
