For five days and nights, bask in Greece's blue, turquoise and white-hued seductive simplicity. Indulge in the abundant delights of the mediterranean lifestyle: fresh cuisine, crystalline waters, breath-taking panoramas and a horizon that stretches as far as the eye can see... all from the comforts of our very own private villa, with direct access to its own beach.
The Peloponnese: famous for Kalamata olives, olive oil, gorgeous nature, shimmering blue water (and wine!) provides the perfect, sun-kissed backdrop to our week. Cosmopolitan Porto Heli, considered one of the most luxurious vacation destinations in Greece, is just a fifteen minute drive away.
We'll have exclusive access to two neighboring, luxury beachfront villas surrounded by meticulously maintained gardens. The villas are situated near Ermioni village, the beautiful and serene islands of Hydra and Spetses where Elena Ferrante's "The Lost Daughter" starring Olivia Coleman was filmed, and are the perfect base for exploring the surrounding area.
The Pink villa is seven bedrooms with both single and double beds, shared and private bathrooms. An infinity pool overlooks the beach below and its several outdoor areas are perfect for lounging.
Both villas look across a calm bay and have direct access to a private beach. There are two infinity pools as well as a tennis court and several outdoor lounge areas. There are stand-up paddle boards, kayaks and snorkelling equipment for our enjoyment.
The Yellow Villa has seven rooms, and both shared and single occupancy is available. Downstairs rooms look onto the garden and upstairs rooms have sea views and balconies.
Some rooms have glorious sea views, some step right out into the garden. All are tastefully decorated and authentically Greek.
June in Greece is perfect weather - not too hot and not too cool. Perfect for lounging and swimming.
We'll explore nearby a archeological site at Epidaurus as well as the temple of Asclepius, the hero and god of medicine in ancient Greek mythology. We'll also tour picturesque towns; we'll do a bit of island hopping, a bit of wandering, lots of relaxing and of course, some wine tasting. At the villa, we'll have our own private chef preparing fresh culinary delights and serving cold drinks by the pool. There will be opportunities for play, too, as the villa is equipped with stand-up paddle boards, snorkelling equipment and kayaks.
We'll visit the island of Hydra, where timeless beauty meets contemporary charm. Nestled in the Saronic Gulf, this gem beckons with its picturesque landscapes, azure waters and fascinating blend of history and artistry. No wonder artists and writers have been inspired here for centuries!
We'll arrive by ferry in the old harbour of the car-free island of Spetses where horse-drawn carriages gracefully traverse cobblestone streets. We'll have plenty of free time to wander, swim, bike or lunch at the waterfront taverns just in front of the beach.
We'll head to a nearby local family-run farm one day where we'll learn about and taste the products they make -- from wine to honey to olive oils to ointments. Afterwards we'll try our hand at making some typical Greek recipes, taught by the matriarch herself.
Prices are per person and start at £2300
