Join us, along with Kalin Sheick, for five days in the heart of lavender-scented, gorgeously fragrant Provence. Together we'll explore several of the region's enchanting villages with their hidden gardens and vibrant markets. We'll enjoy a visit to the Abbey de Senanque where the lavender gardens, cultivated by the monks, inspire a sense of peace and reflection. We'll wander the cobblestoned streets of Aix-en-Provence, visit a winery that doubles as an art gallery and stay at our very own, family-owned private villa. The goal with this retreat? Pure joy and good old-fashioned fun.
We'll stay in a recently renovated, elegant 18th century, ten bedroom house located in the middle of the charming village of Graveson, a delightful provencal village with a friendly community and vibrant local life. Within short walking distance you'll find a 'boulangerie', a 'supermarche,' and a pharmacy.
The villa is south-facing and the large, walled garden includes a lovely terrace for al fresco dining as well as a heated swimming pool. Only fifteen minutes from Avignon, it's the perfect base for exploring the area.
From antique perusing in Isle-su-la-sorgue, to wine tasting to visiting a lavender distillery, the schedule is designed to see and experience the loveliness of Provence at an easy, enjoyable pace that still allows for downtime and plenty of all that French joie d'vivre.
At the foothills of Monts of Vaucluse, facing the Luberon national park, we'll visit Gordes -- one of the most well-known hilltop villages in the region, and said to be one of the most beautiful in France.
While in France, we'll enjoy a fun cooking class and finish it off with a beautiful meal. Our 'hard' work is followed by the opportunity to sample the creative menu we made over a long, lazy lunch – accompanied by excellent wine pairings.
Known as the 'Little Venice' of Provence, we'll have time to wander the streets and cafe-lined canals of this charming village. It's also the third largest antiques destinations in Europe! (And yes, they ship overseas!)
Getting away is hard. It's so freaking hard. If it feels like 'how will I ever get all the things set up so I can leave?' The answer is: just book the trip. I promise. You'll figure it out.
Because there is never a "convenient" time to fly across an ocean to pour into yourself. But if not now, when?
Grab your daughters, text your best friend, gift this to Mom for her banner birthday. Even braver; come solo! YES we do have solo travelers on our trips all the time! They make lifelong friends with everyone else and have the most profound experience. This is your chance: relax. Laugh. See the world with zero decision fatigue. Never fret or worry about logistics, that's what we're here for.
I'll see you in France.
